Connoisseurs of comedy are in for a treat with our latest production, ‘Confusions’, written by Britain’s most popular playwright, Alan Ayckbourn.

First performed in 1974, its five loosely interlinked, one-act comic plays focus around characters and situations that are still instantly recognisable today.

From a mother at her wits’ end to a chaotic garden fête in a thunderstorm and a meal from hell – we see that while times change, people – and their absurdities – don’t.

Thanks to Ayckbourn’s accomplished stagecraft and brilliant ear for dialogue, laughter bubbles along the surface of each piece, deftly concealing some darker under-currents swirling beneath.

Performances on 28th, 29th, 30th November @ 7.30 pm at the Minchinhampton Market House. Matinée on 30th November @ 2.30 pm. Doors open 30 minutes before curtain up.

Tickets are £10 each, on sale now from the Market Stores, Minchinhampton.
